Day 5: Tensions Rise in Montana!

Wednesday 29 August 2018:  The two extremely important people in the picture above are Vesela and Krasi who keep the competitors on their toes by managing the Manifest with ease and professionalism.

The anticipated fine weather greeted us this morning and the day is set to hopefully complete Female Style with just two rounds to go.

We finished yesterday needing three re-jumps in Male Accuracy to complete Round 6 and the eargerly awaited scores are now in. In the Mens Team event Italy has been knocked off its 1st place position, being relegated to joint 2nd place with China. Scres being 25cms and 27 cms respectively.

The tension continues to mount as we see the battle for Female Accuracy endure with Déborah Ferrand FRA gaining 1st position by stamping out a DC in Round 7 mainaining her score at 5cms. One centimetre behind Deborah is Xiao Yao CHN whilst her team mate Zhao Tiantian CHN and Elena Laktionova RUS share 3rd place at the moment on 7cms. It's a reflection on the standard of accuracy today when you consider the winning score of the World Champion in 2016 was 10ms.

With Round 8 under their belt Female Team Accuracy has a new World Champion - subject to the 2 hours protest window - namely Russia, who bettered their 2nd place position in Chicago in 2016. China came second this year gallantly defending their Championship title with just 1 cm dividing the teams. The Bronze medals will go to France who missed the medal table copletely in 2016.

Congratulations to each and everyone of you!
