Proposed Updates to the CIVA calendar of events

Events sanctioned by CIVA

The 2020 EIAC, WGAC/WAGAC, WAAC and EAC organising teams in Romania, Poland and the Czech Republic have all informed us that the local and world-wide Covid-19 lock-down situation presents problems beyond their ability to run these events securely and effectively on the approved dates, and in conjunction with the bureau of CIVA the decision has been taken to postpone all these championships to new dates in 2021.

Each organiser has now provided their preferred new date one year forward from the originally approved setting, and delegates have been asked to review this new set of championship fixtures to check that all are satisfied with this schedule. Should any significant issues emerge we have asked for their help to resolve them by discussion and agreement of suitable alternative arrangements.

This process would normally lead to a formal vote for each event at a plenary conference, but due to the uncertainty that the worldwide lock-down has caused we think it will benefit the sport and maximise the stability for each organiser if we complete this review and the approvals within a shorter timescale.

The schedule for 2021 is: The updates for 2022 and 2023 are as follows:
WAAC at Hosin, Czech Republic
July 15 to July 23, 2021
WGAC/WAGAC at Issoudun, France
August 17 to 27, 2022

WGAC/WAGAC at Leszno, Poland
