Andradas Brazil is to host PG XC Worlds in 2025
CIVL Plenary 2023 has awarded the 19th FAI World Paragliding Championships to be held in Andradas, MG, Brazil. It will be organized by the local club Vetor Esportes, which has great experience in holding big paragliding meets, with the support of CAB NAC Brazil and CVBL (Brazilian Free Flight confederation). They have recently held several national events plus PWC events in 2017 and 2019. The proposed dates of the Championships are August 31 - September 13, 2025.
The take-offs of Pico do Gavião offer 40 thousand square meters of grassy area easy to launch and free of obstacles. The North-East take-off has an elevation of 420 meters, with an easy return to the ramp. The South-West takeoff has an elevation of 720 meters in an area with lots of house thermals. Parking for 300 cars, bathrooms, drinking fountain, and WiFi internet is an additional plus.
