Report from the 2025 CIG Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the FAI Rotorcraft Commission (CIG) was held in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 21 March 2025, bringing together Delegates from across the world to discuss the ongoing development of helicopter sports and the Commission's strategic direction.

The meeting was conducted in a constructive and collegial atmosphere, with the FAI Secretariat providing support in various capacities throughout the proceedings. Delegates presented updates on helicopter sport activities within their respective countries and reviewed developments at the international level.

Among the key topics discussed were future prospects for helicopter competitions, enhanced collaboration with aviation organisations, and initiatives aimed at increasing international participation. While no Category 1 events are scheduled in the immediate future, discussions indicated a potential event in the United Kingdom in 2026. Several Category 2 competitions are currently in planning stages.

The FAI Secretary General delivered an overview of the Federation's current activities and presented the official finance report for CIG.
