Bio

Schäpper started racing in 2019 after a DCL Race in Liechtenstein, and has participated in 40+ events over the last five years, clocking up some 25 podium finishes.

His first FAI World Drone Racing Championships was in 2019. Aside from holding his title as Swiss champion in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024, his competitions have taken him all around the world on the international circuit. In 2021 he participated in the FAI World Drone Cup in Istanbul and placed 4th in the MultiGP Champs USA. This was followed by a busy 2023, with the FAI World Cup in Aichtal followed by the FAI World Drone Racing Championships in Korea, and a 1st in the Vertical Race, Malaysia.

In 2024 he went from World Cups in Aichtal (4th place) and Paris (1st place) to gain a 16th place at the FAI World Drone Racing Championships in China and in 2025 he has already achieved a 9th place at the World Cup in Riyadh. 

Other activities

Aside from the commitments of training and competition in FPV drone racing, Schäpper is currently undertaking an apprenticeship as an electronics technician which complements the skills he has acquired in his sport.

What are your goals for this competition?
"My goal is to fly as consistently as I can and reach the top 10 or better."

How are you training for the event?
"I can't say how many hours it will be yet, but I will try my best in my spare time after work and school." 

What do you think The World Games will be like?
"I expect that it will be a fair race with equal conditions for all pilots and fair FAI Rules. I also hope the track will be up to date and modern."
